    The Experience

Namushasha River Lodge combines the allure of Namibia’s water world with the rich wildlife of Bwabwata National Park. It acts as an inviting gateway to the Zambezi Region, boasting an authentic African-style entrance and a dining room with a high thatched roof that embraces the river views. The lodge features 24 serene rooms, offering a tranquil retreat amidst the African wilderness. Guests can embark on exhilarating river cruises to discover diverse birdlife or venture into Bwabwata National Park with expert guides. These safaris commence with a scenic boat ride, followed by a game drive into the bush, often culminating in spectacular red river sunsets. Strategically located 24 km south of Kongola on the C49 (D3501), Namushasha River Lodge is an ideal stopover for those en route to Victoria Falls. The lodge is continually enhancing its guest experience, having refreshed its rooms in 2024. Further upgrades to the main guest areas, including reception, restaurant, bar, and sundowner deck, are planned for 2026 to introduce a brighter, more modern ambiance that complements the renovated rooms. Please note a temporary closure for renovations from January 15 to April 2, 2026. Activities like boat trips are subject to water levels, especially during the dry season (September to December).
