The Experience
Songa Migrational Camp North offers a front-row seat to the Great Migration, moving twice yearly between the northern and southern Serengeti to follow the wildebeest, zebra, and Thomson’s gazelle. The camp provides eight en-suite tents and a family tent, all adorned with vibrant decor inspired by the Serengeti's endless blue skies and burnt orange sunsets. Guests can awaken to the sights and sounds of wildlife just outside their tents, immersed in the vastness of the wilderness. The camp is ideal for a stay of three to four nights, perfectly suited for the start or middle of a safari itinerary.
Experience the thrill of true adventure, especially between July and October in the northern Serengeti, to witness the famed Mara River crossings during the migration. With a dedicated vehicle and private guide, guests have the freedom to explore at their own pace. For a unique perspective, hot-air balloon safaris offer breathtaking aerial views of the wildlife below. Evenings are celebrated with special sundowner experiences, complete with cushions, lanterns, a campfire, and drinks, set against the backdrop of the Serengeti’s glorious sunsets and surrounding wildlife.
