The Experience
Enjojo Lodge is a hidden gem nestled within a magnificent African wilderness, bordering the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda. Named after the local word for "elephant" following the birth of a baby elephant on the property during its construction, the lodge offers a relaxed and comfortable retreat on 40 hectares of acacia forest, scattered grassland, and lush vegetation. Guests can enjoy homemade food from the organic garden at the grass-thatched restaurant and bar, all while overlooking a scenic natural lake. The lodge is a haven for wildlife, with regular visits from elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes, and resident vervet monkeys, baboons, and black and white colobus monkeys. Bird enthusiasts will also delight in the abundant birdlife.
Committed to sustainability and community, Enjojo Lodge is entirely solar-powered and built with local materials to seamlessly blend into its natural surroundings. Much of the furniture and decor are handcrafted by members of the local community, reflecting a deep connection to the region and its people. This thoughtful approach creates an authentic and immersive safari experience for all who visit.
