    Situated only 3 hours' drive south of Victoria Falls, and bordering Botswana to the west, Hwange National Park has become famous for its wildlife density and enormous elephant population. Due to the arid region, the park is an incredible dry season safari destination, with animals converging on the many man-made water holes, and game viewing being especially rewarding.     While particularly choc-a-bloc with elephants, Hwange National Park is home to an extensive list of wildlife, including the rare and beautiful Sable antelope, white rhino, buffalo, zebra, lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, giraffe, eland, Gemsbok, Roan antelope, hippo, hyena, aardvark and various other nocturnal species. To name a few.

    Like other parks in the region, Hwange National Park allows for excellently guided walking safaris, which are a trademark of a Zimbabwean safari. Getting out of the vehicle and experiencing the bush on foot is an exciting way of experiencing the African bush from another perspective. Seeing large game and predators while outside of the vehicle is exhilirating, while walks also allow you the opportunity to learn more about the smaller creatures of the bush and the various and interesting fauna.
